‘Kafè Ewropa’ offers expert analysis on the European election outcome and its potential impact.

Did the results of last Saturday’s European election leave you scratching your head? Tune in to Kafè Ewropa, One Radio’s must-listen show for all things EU, on Friday morning as The Journal editor Sandro Mangion and his guests dissect the results and what they mean for Malta and the future of Europe.

Get ready to hear from these insightful voices on the topic: Prof. Carmen Sammut, academic; Kurt Sansone, Executive Editor at Malta Today; Herman Grech, Editor-in-Chief at the Times of Malta; Brian Scicluna, Vice Chair of IDEAT political think thank; and Matthew Mamo, Deputy News Manager at Newsbook Malta.

Labour Party President Dr Ramona Attard will also join the conversation, focusing on the governing party’s approach to analysing the voters’ message.

Another guest will be leading statistician and pollster Dr Vincent Marmarà, who will offer insights into the discrepancies between pre-election polls and the actual voting outcome.

Sandro Mangion will also welcome Dr Mario Sammut, Head of the European Parliament’s Liaison Office in Malta. They will discuss the composition of the new European Parliament and explain the procedures that will be followed until and during the first plenary session of the new legislative term, that will take place from 16th to 19th July in Strasbourg. These procedures include the formation of groups based on shared political ideas, the election of the Parliament’s new President, vice-presidents, and quaestors, as well as a decision on the number of MEPs who will be sitting in each parliamentary committee.

Kafè Ewropa kicks off on One Radio (92.7FM) at 9am and then simulcasts live on One TV from 9.50am until 11am.
