Abela: “If we re-enter office, I won’t stop working from day one”

Prime Minister Robert Abela told a mass rally in Gozo:

I believe in you, put your trust in me so I can continue believing and working for you.

With one week left to go on the electoral campaign, this Friday’s Labour rally took place in Xewkija.

Prime Minister Abela stated that a Labour government has 100 proposals for Gozo.

He highlighted Malta’s resilience and how the European Commission’s recent data shows a true measure of the Labour Government’s credibility. Resilience is not a hyperbole: Abela reminded us that beyond our shores, gas and electricity prices have gone up and food security has been impacted. Malta on the other hand, has managed to hold the breaks. The International Monetary Fund’s data indeed, shows how the Government’s initiatives spell out a theme of resilience. However, Abela has reminded the audience that this will only be possible if the same people clapping trust the Party to once again lead the way. Abela’s promise to Gozitans? I will not stop once we re-enter office. Abela cautioned that the Nationalist Party’s vision for Gozo as an AI output riddled with hallucinations and mistakes that could have been easily amended. Comparatively, Abela restated that the Labour Party’s plan has Gozo at its core. Abela reminded Gozitans that although a lot of work had been done for Gozo, he has declared that the Party’s work is not complete yet. With a team of seasoned people who are experts with their respective ministerial portfolios and ready to execute, Abela and his government are ready to continue.

Earlier, MP Amanda Spiteri Grech urged undecided voters to act, warning that staying home risks reversing years of social progress. She also showed how despite her status as a backbencher, the Labour Party has still given her the spotlight to propose initiatives such as the private members’ bill relating to the right to be forgotten for cancer patients. Carmelo Abela MP also reminded all of the audience that the Prime Minister’s two mandates are reason enough to pass the baton again to the Prime Minister for another mandate. To mention an example, Abela stated that the fact that senior citizens he meets proudly tell him that they can afford to support their grandchildren is symptomatic that consecutive Labour Governments’ social contracts have ensured this possibility. Parliamentary Secretary Alison Zerafa Civelli highlighted how her role has given her the prerogative to executie projects that incentivise people to be active members of their communities. She also reminded the audience that the Labour Party has consistenly prioritised Gozo in every aspect: connectivity, accessibility, improvement of infrastructure and a focus on Gozitans. She reminded the audience that the Leader of the Opposition has laid out a plan based on chicanery and mistakes. She also poignantly stated that given all of this, the obvious choice between the two leaders is Robert Abela.
