Prime Minister Robert Abela said the party’s manifesto was designed to “make life easier, better and more beautiful” while pledging that Labour would continue leading Malta towards “a new level of prosperity”.

Speaking in Fgura, Abela said the government had already proven its resilience through recent crises, including the pandemic and the war in Ukraine.

“No matter how strong the storm, this captain will not lose heart,” he said. “With us, you know where we stand and where we are heading.”

The Prime Minister insisted Labour remained “the most progressive force in the country” and dismissed criticism that the government was overpromising at a time of geopolitical uncertainty.

“They told us the same thing more than four years ago, when we were still in a pandemic and war had broken out in Ukraine,” Abela said.

He pointed to measures introduced during the legislature, including tax cuts, increases in children’s allowances and the creation of green open spaces.

Abela also highlighted the completion of 75 green projects, alongside plans involving Manoel Island, White Rocks, Fort Tigné, Fort Campbell and Fort San Salvatur.

The Labour leader also took aim at the Opposition, accusing it of running “a campaign of mistakes” and mocking attempts to blame a chatbot for policy calculation errors.

He concluded with a direct appeal to voters not to stay home on election day.

“Do not pay attention to surveys and numbers,” Abela said. “Those do not count on Sunday morning. Only your votes count.”
