England had most of the possession but struggled to create chances before the break. Bellingham’s goal changed the game and Kane’s header sealed the win. England will now play DR Congo in the round of 32.

Croatia secured second place in Group L with a 2-1 victory over Ghana. Petar Sucic opened the scoring with a long-range strike before Derrick Luckassen equalised for Ghana after a VAR review. Nikola Vlasic then headed in the winning goal from a Luka Modric corner.
Croatia will face Portugal in the next round, while Ghana take on Colombia. Scotland’s elimination was also confirmed.

Argentina completed the group stage with a 3-1 win over Jordan. Giovani Lo Celso scored from a free-kick before Lautaro Martinez added a penalty. Jordan pulled one back through Mousa Al-Tamari, but substitute Lionel Messi scored from a free-kick to become the first player to score in seven consecutive World Cup matches. Argentina will play Cape Verde in the round of 32.

Colombia finished first in Group K after a goalless draw against Portugal. A point was enough for Colombia to stay ahead of Portugal in the standings. Davinson Sanchez had a late goal ruled out for offside, while Rafael Leao missed a late chance for Portugal. Colombia will meet Ghana in the next round, while Portugal will face Croatia.

Austria and Algeria both reached the knockout stage after a 3-3 draw. Marko Arnautovic and Marcel Sabitzer scored for Austria, while Rafik Belghali and Riyad Mahrez replied for Algeria. Mahrez’s late goal briefly looked like it would eliminate Austria, but substitute Sasa Kalajdzic scored in the closing moments to earn a draw. Austria will play Spain, while Algeria face Switzerland.

DR Congo reached the World Cup knockout stage for the first time with a 3-1 win over Uzbekistan. Yoane Wissa scored twice, including a penalty, after Uzbekistan had an early goal ruled out. Fiston Mayele added the second goal before Wissa completed the victory. DR Congo will now face England in the round of 32.
