Exploring Mtarfa’s railway tunnel

In this week’s episode of Trekventures we go underground as we explore Mtarfa’s underground railway tunnel which links Mtarfa with Mdina.

Forming part of Malta’s very own railway track inaugurated in 1883, the Mtarfa/Mdina Station was the terminus, where the journey from Valletta ended/started. The Malta railway operated until March 1931 as more people opted for buses for their daily commute.

Conrad is joined by Malta’s youngest explorer, 3 year old Jack, and his father Konrad.
