The PN’s electoral campaign will go in the history books as the most unreliable to date.

Back in October 2024, then PN leader Bernard Grech, appointed a University Politics Lecturer, now PN candidate, to write the PN Electoral Manifesto.

And lessons they learnt. The biggest? Credibility is the most important element for any political party trying to re-convince people to trust it.

As the flashy veil around the new PN leader and his rhetoric started to fade away, one mistake after the other poked holes in whatever credibility they had managed to project after Alex Borg outperformed Adrian Delia to become PN Leader with just a handful of votes.

PV’s on roofs that do not exist to deliver financial returns that do not make sense. Engineers that are not Engineers. Mistakes amounting to hundreds of million of euros. Conflicting statements on crucial energy subsidies. And this all before the manifesto was even published.

With great fanfare the ‘Nifs Gdid’ Manifesto enters the scene in the last days of the campaign, and the make believe PN strategists unveil a revolutionary chatbot that had supposedly one job – explain the greatness of the PN proposals to all.

And in a farcical turn of events the PN’s chatbot shot down the very own manifesto it had to sell outlining conflicting proposals in the text. From proposal 1 to proposal 10 the targeted renewable energy share varies by a whopping from 30 to 50%, said the chatbot. Big numbers for a party that only managed 3% renewables share in 25years in power.

A chatbot can be trained but the PN cannot. University lectures or not, this is a party in disarray. Aside from the cockiness of someone who pledged to win an election in one month, it is blatantly evident that they have not even been able to proofread a document that supposedly is in the making since October 2024.

Would you imagine this lot running a country during a pandemic or a major war? Would you trust them with your personal finances? Not really, right?
