Is this turning into a Nadur Carnival Gig? Fresh air from the 90s!

The  leader of the PN  had little issue placing himself at the centre of his election campaign logo. Giving such a GonziPN vibe, that we can only guess what kind of breath of fresh air would be ready for us should they be returned to power.

But it is now confirmed that GonziPN is not the only source of inspiration powering the PN campaign strategists. Their latest ‘ground breaking’ idea comes straight out of Alfred Sant’s 1996 election campaign playbook. Let’s dissect this slowly as we hope that most of our readers are young enough not to remember this. Back in 1996, the Labour Party had a fully branded good looking bus for the time, that toured villages. The bus was known as the ‘Cittadin Mobil’ and was used as an effective outreach method during the 90’s to bring the party leadership close to Maltese citizens.

A full 30 years later Alex Borg sported an almost identical bus, that like the PN, its best years are now in the history book.

In the era of social media and artificial intelligence the PN leader chose a bus that dates back to the 1990s powered by some of the dirtiest diesel powered engines that are still in circulation. Breath of fresh air right?

If this wasn’t serious it would be hilarious, but unfortunately, it is very sad to see how the Nationalist Party is handling the electoral campaign. Malta deserves much better.

For the progressive voter, the PN is not a recipe for the future, but is still an unpleasant flash from the past.
