Tourism is one of Malta’s key economic pillars but its future depends on quality, sustainability, and continuous investment.

This is what the Labour Party is delivering: measures that strengthen competitiveness while improving the visitor experience and supporting local businesses.

Investment will focus on raising standards. Tourism operators will benefit from targeted tax credits to renovate accommodation, improve quality, and enhance the overall guest experience.

Support will also extend to the local food sector, with a €30 million fund for restaurants, enabling independent operators to upgrade their product, train staff, and invest in their premises.

At the same time, Malta’s position as a leading cruise hub will be strengthened through continued investment in the Grand Harbour, enabling further growth in home-porting and attracting higher-value tourism.

Sustainability will also be reinforced, with eco-contribution revenues being reinvested directly into local communities ensuring that tourism benefits are shared where they matter most.
