The Labour Party will on Thursday evening hold a large-scale political mass meeting at the Granaries in Floriana, combining political addresses with a major entertainment programme headlined by internationally renowned DJ Armin van Buuren.

The event, scheduled for 28 May, will open its doors at 5pm, with Prime Minister and Labour Party Leader Robert Abela expected to deliver the keynote speech later in the evening.

The activity will include performances by a number of Maltese and international artists.

Among the local performers expected to take the stage are Carlo Gerada, Cliff Zammit Stevens, Cathy K, Darryl, Dodz, Joseph Armani & Denzil, JJoy, Koroma, Lio, Miggy, Tenishia, Zrinz and Ziggy.

International acts include Ultranaté, Daelcom, RO and Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren, who is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading electronic music artists.

The Labour Party said transport from towns and villages across Malta is being organised through local committees to facilitate attendance.

A shuttle service will also operate from the Floriana Park and Ride area, Marsamxett for those arriving by ferry from Sliema, and Ta’ Liesse for passengers arriving via the Gozo fast ferry and ferry services from the Cottonera area.

The mass meeting is expected to draw large crowds to the Floriana Granaries as the Labour Party ends its electoral campaign with this major event.
