In line with this goal, Mater Dei Hospital is installing two new state of the art PET-CT scanners, representing a significant upgrade over its existing imaging equipment. The previous systems have served the public well, but the new equipment offers improved image resolution, reduced scanning times and lower radiation exposure.

Clinicians will be able to diagnose disease earlier, craft more targeted treatment plans and monitor patient progress with greater confidence. For patients across Malta, the upgrade is expected to reduce waiting times, shorten travel to other facilities and provide faster access to advanced imaging services when they matter most.
