The Minister for Gozo and Planning, Clint Camilleri, announced that more infrastructural works have been completed in Xagħra, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen services and improve road quality across Gozo. In fact, a total of nine roads have now been completed from the promise of 100 new residential roads over the next three years.

Minister Clint Camilleri stated that “1,700 square metres of tarmac were laid on part of Triq John Otto Bayer as well as part of Triq il-Mitħna here in the area near the Ta’ Kola Windmill in Xagħra and Ġgantija, where services were replaced, the main electricity cable was upgraded, and a new road surface was applied. Furthermore, a few days ago, we also completed two other roads: Triq Ġnien Xibla and Triq il-Komittiva, where services were also replaced, electricity cables installed, and a new surface laid, with a total of 1,000 square metres of tarmac. This is being carried out in collaboration with Enemalta and the Water Services Corporation so that services on this island continue to be strengthened.”

Meanwhile, Xagħra Mayor Victor Curmi thanked the Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri and Enemalta Corporation for making this work possible.
