Prime Minister visits start-up recreating limestone with 3D printing, recycled materials.

During the visit, the Neolithic Futures project was presented, an initiative using construction waste and other materials, such as seashells, to recreate limestone through 3D printing. As part of this project, Ambitious is collaborating with two local companies operating in different sectors: BilVen Ltd, which works in construction, and Bacchus Restaurant, part of the food industry. The collaboration highlights how diverse sectors can work together to develop sustainable solutions.

The visit also underscored the crucial role of start-ups in Malta as drivers of innovation, bringing together research, technology, and industry to create new opportunities. Initiatives like this contribute to strengthening the circular economy and paving the way for a more sustainable future.

This innovative project is funded by Xjenza Malta through the FUSION: R&I Research Excellence Programme 2024 and is aligned with the Malta Vision 2050. It promotes digital transformation, more efficient use of resources, and innovation rooted in national identity.
