Politics matters. And it is politicians who need to work towards change.

And giving mental health the importance it deserves, in electoral pledges, and eventually, in government policy — is a game-changer.

A similar sentiment was expressed by former Nationalist Party official Mario Galea addressing a Labour Party event on mental health: “I am here, at the end of the day, at a political party conference because it is the politicians who need to make a difference for the thousands of people who are going through problems of mental health,” he said.
