The Għaxaq Music Festival will return this summer with a special edition forming part of the celebrations marking the 400th anniversary of the establishment of the Għaxaq Parish. Organised since 1999, the festival has grown into one of Malta’s leading music events.

This year’s edition will feature two international headline acts. Italian pop group Ricchi e Poveri will perform on Tuesday, 21 July, as part of their World Tour, while Padre Guilherme, widely known as the “DJ Priest”, will make his Malta debut on Friday, 24 July, alongside electronic duo POU: Product of Us. Both concerts will also showcase Maltese performers including Kevin Paul Calleja, JJoy, Alex Grech, Pierre Cordina, Mux and Braynod.

The festival is organised by the Santa Marija Musical Society of Għaxaq under the patronage of the Ministry for the Arts, Culture and National Heritage and the Malta Tourism Authority.
