Opposition Leader Alex Borg delivered a four-minute televised statement reading from a prepared message. However, he did not address the Government’s second proposed nominee for the post of Chief Justice, the Labour Party said in a statement.

“The name was tabled for discussion last Wednesday. At the time, the Opposition indicated it would provide its position by the following Monday”.

As of today, no official response has been issued.

“It is clear that Alex Borg intends to continue playing the extremists’ game. The people will continue to judge him,” the statement read
