A major British television production, The Assassin: Season 2, is currently being filmed in Malta.

The series will consist of six episodes, each running for 60 minutes, and is directed by Terry McDonough.

Filming is underway across several locations, including Valletta, Floriana, Rabat, Attard, Mellieħa, Marsaskala and Siġġiewi, highlighting Malta’s versatility as a destination for international productions.

The production is benefiting from the 40% cash rebate incentive offered by the Malta Film Commission.

With a local budget of €17.1 million, the project is employing 141 crew members, 120 of whom are Maltese. The production is expected to generate further employment opportunities while continuing to strengthen the local film industry.
