Infrastructure works have officially commenced on Triq it-Tiġrija in Nadur, as announced by the Minister for Gozo and Planning, Clint Camilleri.

The project forms part of a wider initiative aimed at upgrading a number of roads across Gozo, with the objective of improving overall road quality and safety. The works will cover several routes, including Triq it-Tiġrija, Triq il-Qala, and Triq San Blas in Nadur, as well as Triq il-Qala, Triq San Ġużepp, and Triq l-Isqof Mikiel Buttigieg in Qala.

Minister Camilleri explained that the project will span approximately 18,790 square metres and will involve a range of key interventions.

These include the rebuilding of road structures, resurfacing with new asphalt, pavement upgrades, improvements to drainage and water systems, the installation of stormwater channels, and the introduction of new road signage and markings.

He concluded by thanking residents and road users for their cooperation, reaffirming the government’s commitment to investing in modern and sustainable infrastructure in Gozo, while enhancing residents’ quality of life and strengthening road safety.
